I am Malaki, an old boy of about 10 years of age. I was born a street dog and never had an owner to take care of me. It was easier when I was a young dog, but as I aged, I developed problems and life got very difficult for me.

There was a very nice man who lived near my territory. He came to check on me every day and give me food. I wouldn’t have survived without him but one day, the man told me he had to move away. He was worried about who would look after me when he left and so he took me to Soi Dog.

At the shelter, I was examined by the vets, who sent me to a specialist hospital for further tests. It has been confirmed that due to my age, I have quite a few problems. I am almost totally blind and limping, probably due to an old, untreated fracture.

When I returned from the specialist hospital, I was so happy to be back at Soi Dog that I started jumping at the gate. Even though I am blind, the staff were amazed that I knew where I was and couldn’t wait to get back in. I love the staff here; it makes me so happy when they sit beside me and we enjoy some quiet time together.

My life has turned around at such an old age. I think I am a lucky boy and I know it is all due to the kind Soi Dog supporters who have joined the Emergency Response Team. It is thanks to their donations that I could be brought here and looked after.

Can YOU do the same for another old dog like me? Can you be the one who makes sure they are given shelter and care during their later years? Please make a difference for another senior. Please join the Emergency Response Team today.

Thank you.

By joining the Emergency Response Team, you are making sure that suffering street dogs and cats get the life-saving treatment they so urgently need.
