YES, I CAN HELP SAVE A DOG LIKE SHARON
Tweet |
My name is Sharon and I am a lady of about 7 years of age. I have been suffering a lot lately and I would like to share my story with you.
I am a Thai street dog. That means I have lived my life on the streets, fending for myself. I have never had a home of my own; the street was my home. I have never had an owner or felt what it’s like to be loved by a human.
I was brought to the Soi Dog shelter with a big, infected wound on my neck. The vets cannot be sure who did this to me and I cannot tell them. When the vets examined me, they found my wound was infested with maggots. If I had not come to Soi Dog, the future would have looked very bad for me.
The vets are now cleaning and treating this wound of mine every day and the maggots are gone. My appetite is still good, which will help me heal quickly. I am still a bit scared of the vets but I am slowly learning that they want to help me.
I am one of the lucky street dogs – I was saved by the donations of the Emergency Response Team. I owe everything to this group of Soi Dog supporters as without them, I would still be wandering the streets in pain.
Sadly, there are many other dogs and cats doing just that. Soi Dog wants to save them all but they need YOUR help to do it. Please become a member of the Emergency Response Team today. No amount is too small and you will be helping so many. All you have to do is click on my picture to get started.
