My name is Malaki. I am an old boy of about 10 years of age and until now my life has been lived on the streets. I am proud that I managed to look after myself for as long as I did, but I am no longer a young dog and every day was getting more difficult for me.

A kind local man lived near my territory and always kept an eye out for me and made sure I had something to eat. The man was moving away from the area though, and he was worried about what would happen to an old street dog like me once he’d left. He did the best thing he could have done by bringing me to Soi Dog.

Because of my age, I have a few problems. I am now blind in my right eye and I am limping a bit. It is no longer as easy for me to get around as it was when I was younger. The vets here have started me on treatment because I also have some eye discharge and something called anaemia. Right now, I don’t even have much energy to walk, but the humans here tell me they will help me get better.

When that kind man brought me here, Soi Dog could only take me in because of the Emergency Response Team. The team is a special group of Soi Dog supporters, who send monthly donations so that dogs like me can be saved. I am so very happy they do that, but I know that there are many more dogs and cats out there that also need help. YOU can be the one who helps them, simply by joining the Emergency Response Team. You will be giving them a chance at life that nobody has ever offered them until now. Please do this for me; simply click on my picture to get started.
