Brave Little Takrai Takes Her First Steps

Hello there, I am Takrai! Im sure you remember me as Im too cute to forget, but if you havent been lucky enough to meet me before, you can read how I came to Soi Dog here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.695643617144043.1073742835.108625789179165&type=1

I came to the shelter having been hit by a car. I was unable to walk and had very bad pain in my back legs. Animal Rescue Officer Khun Jaroon picked me up and told me he would take me to Soi Dog, where I would be taken care of.

The vets there were very nice to me. With something called an x-ray, they were able to tell that I had several fractures in my back legs. They also said I had something called anaemia, so I was not very strong. They put me on a drip and gave me antibiotics and slowly, I started to feel better.

In the early days, I was only able to walk on three legs but I practised and practised, and now I can wobble around on four! Every day, one of the staff at Soi Dog takes me outside and makes me practice my walk. Today, I got so excited I started to run to them! For some reason, I get my picture taken a lot. I have learnt to pose for the camera so that I look as cute as possible. This seems to get me lots of cuddles and I give kisses in return.

Soi Dog has taken such good care of me but they really need your help to continue. No matter where in the world you live, you can join a team called the Emergency Response Team, which means you would be helping to save the lives of little pups like me. Wont you do that for me?
