Sole Survivor Birdie Is Saved

I am orphan Birdie. My mother and my two siblings died just after I was born and I was left alone. I am a little boy of just 9 weeks of age.

I was brought to Soi Dog so they could take care of me. Because I was so small when I arrived, I was sent to stay with a lady called Khun Mia. She is a foster carer for baby cats like me. Without my Mum to take care of me, I would have died without Khun Mia. She is with me around the clock; feeding me and making sure I grow up to be big and strong.

In the early days, when I started trying to walk, I was having some problems with one of my front legs. But after some time, and a lot of practicing on my part, I was able to walk like a normal kitten. The vets have examined me and said I am a pretty healthy little boy. Khun Mia has done a great job with me. She told the vets that I have a big appetite and I am getting stronger every day.

The humans like to take pictures of me to show everybody on Facebook how handsome I am. I get a little camera shy when this happens. I’m not sure I like that machine with the light that flashes. But although I am sometimes a little timid, I do like to be picked up and cuddled.

I am very happy I was brought to Soi Dog. I know I would not be here now if the Emergency Response Team hadn’t helped me. You too can become a member of this team, no matter where in the world you live. If you do, you will be helping animals like me every day.
