Farewell Naomi; Have The Happiest Of Lives

My name is Naomi. Ive been popping up a bit here on Facebook so you probably remember me. If you havent met me yet, you can read the story of how I first came to Soi Dog here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.659972174044521.1073742626.108625789179165&type=3

I came to the shelter after Id been hit by a car. I wasnt able to walk and the vets also noticed two small wounds on my back. They examined me fully and said I had a fractured pelvis. For this to get better, I needed plenty of rest and painkillers. After a few days though, the vets noticed that my belly looked very swollen. They took another look at me and saw that the wounds on my back had become infected and they were filling my belly with fluid.

The vets then shaved some of my fur so they could put some drains in me so that the horrible fluid would leave my belly and I could start to feel better. The wounds soon started to clear up, but the vets kept a very special eye on me, cleaning them every day and removing any dead tissue from around them. Before long, they were looking a lot better, my fur grew back and best of all, I was walking again!

Soon I was moved into the puppy run, which was fantastic as I made loads of new friends. One day, Khun Taso, my lovely carer in the puppy run came to see me with some special news – a lovely lady called Louise, who lived in Pattaya, Thailand, was going to adopt me. Here you can see pictures of me getting my final health check at Soi Dog, along with some photos of me leaving for my new home.

A lot of bad things have happened in my short little life so far, but I am so happy that I get to spend the rest of it in my forever home. I will miss all my animal friends at Soi Dog and wish they could all find a lovely adopter like mine. If you would like to be that person, its a very easy thing to do. Just visit http://www.soidog.org/en/adoptions/ to find out more.
