EMERGENCY: Protection for Dog Victims in Bosnia Herzegovina
Thugs in Sarajevo with purebred fighting dogs have set their dogs out to attack abandoned strays. At least four of the strays died yesterday from injuries caused by the attacks, others are missing or wounded. We are hoping to help the survivors.
“Already two months constantly we have been calling the police, but the patrol came only today when the streams of blood flowed down the street,” one rescuer explains. “This is the worst day in my life, these dogs never bite anyone and they live there a long time now, they just live in a bad street where drug dealers sell drugs.”
What is additionally sad is that the victims come from a pack fifteen street dogs who receive food and mange treatment from Marianne’s Dog Food Bank. (seen in this photo)
Marianne Sřndergaard states: “I have arranged for the surviving dogs to have a place where they can be safe for a few days. I pray things are well for the people looking for them and that I will have news tomorrow morning.”
We’d like to help Marianne keep the surviving dogs safe as it’s far too dangerous for them to return to that neighborhood as no one has been held accountable for this crime. Donations to the Harmony Fund today will be used to help Marianne’s Dog Food Bank care for these dogs. And efforts to get the police to take action continue.
TO DONATE FOR THE DOGS: All donations today will be AUTOMATICALLY applied to this emergency. Make a Paypal donation to Harmony Fund at donations@harmonyfund.org or use this link https://secure.qgiv.com/for/?key=MRLAUFK2ATEBWUW3DUN1
