Remember Mia ? The first macaque that we rescued from a fractured pelvis, rehabilitated for 2 intensive months and released successfully? It has been 8 months since she began her new life with her troop and this afternoon, we managed to catch a glimpse of her up close and personal. Have a look at her then and now!
“Mia has grown to be a beautiful young lady and seeing her today was magical. At first she hesitated but gradually, she came forward towards me. She cant speak but through the facial expressions she gave, I know that she is doing great. Indeed, it was a proud and rewarding moment knowing that we have given an animal a second chance at life. It was a beautiful sight seeing her with her troop. Who knows in future we will see her with babies of her own? It is through all the rescue cases that we hope to raise awareness. Mia represents all the macaques. When one in a million is enough to inspire millions more” – Sabrina, ACRES Macaque Team
