SAVING THE HOMELESS & THEIR PETS: TONIGHT’s MISSION

Hearthounds is a UK charity run by Sarah Fretwell and her partner Adam Goldsworthy Johnson. Together, they and a handful of volunteers bundle up and take to the streets providing weekly food packs, tents, sleeping bags, warm clothes and essential veterinary care. There is pain and beauty all at once in what they do. None dispute the sheer life-saving impact of their care.

Most of the time, Sarah and Adam end up dipping into their own pockets to sponsor a large part of their work. But Adam has just lost his job and now they fear that their rounds of care will come to a halt. Hearthounds’ bank account is now at zero and they’re feeling quite alone.

Harmony Fund has just made an initial donation of $1,200 and we were hoping that perhaps a few of you would like to help us raise the bar on that amount? If you visit our donation page, there’s a section on our donation form where you will be asked to choose a project. You can select “Hearthounds” to make sure that the aid continues for the dogs who sleep on the street in all forms of weather under the care of their homeless caregivers.
