Dog Brought In For Sterilisation Exhibits Multiple Health Issues

Caruso was found by animal rescue officer Khun Nok when he was catching dogs for sterilisation at the mobile clinic recently. Volunteer vet Dr Andrea, who was on duty performing the day’s sterilisations, noticed that Caruso did not appear to be well so he was sent to the clinic at the shelter for further vet care.

On arrival, Caruso was found to be underweight, anaemic, dehydrated and suffering from heartworm. Further tests have also indicated that Caruso is suffering from blood parasites and liver problems. Caruso is now undergoing a number of treatments and remains under the watchful eye of the vets in the clinic. Caruso is far from being out of danger and we will update you on his progress as soon as possible.
