Poppers Horrific Head Wound Is Healing, Albeit Slowly

Hi, my name is Popper. If you cant remember my original story, you can read it at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.650953778279694.1073742561.108625789179165&type=3

I have been at Soi Dog now for about 6 weeks after coming to the clinic with a horrific head wound. I cannot remember exactly how I got this wound. I think I have blocked out the memories due to the excruciating pain I was in. The vets at Soi Dog are also not sure how I could have got this wound, but think it was either done by another dog or by a human with a machete. I am so glad Khun Sanae brought me to Soi Dog. I am not scared here.

My wound is taking a long time to heal, but I am pleased to tell you that it is slowly getting better. The vets have been making sure that I have been given medicines to prevent an infection and have been keeping it very clean. They really have been taking good care of me.

I have been in the treatment runs for a while and it is getting a bit boring, but the vets tell me I need to stay in here until my treatment is finished, so they can keep a close eye on me. Some of the other dogs in the treatment runs were moved to the main runs yesterday. I cant wait until it is my turn to move to a main run as I hear its lots of fun in there. Maybe one day I might even be lucky enough to be adopted. I will keep my paws crossed.

The vets also tell me thats only because of members of the Emergency Response Team that I was able to receive the treatment I desperately needed. If you would like to help the many more dogs and cats who need help from Soi Dog, please join this team today by visiting https://www.soidog.org/en/donate-today/ert/ert.html
