Romeow Begins His Recovery After Eye Removal

Hello, my name is Romeow. If you did not catch my original story, please visit https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.667552606619811.1073742673.108625789179165&type=3

I have been living at a temple all my life. I like it there, the monks feed me and it is pretty safe. I did however get into a spot of bother recently with my eye becoming infected. As a result of this infection my eyeball was really swollen and almost popping out of the eye socket. It was so painful and happened so quickly. Lucky for me a nice man called Dominic, who lives near the temple, saw I was in trouble and rushed me to the clinic at Soi Dog.

Dr Su has been taking very good care of me, but despite all she tried to do to help me, my eye could not be saved. The infection was so bad that there was no chance I would be able to see from this eye again. Dr Su gave me some medicine to make me sleep and then when I woke up she had finished the operation to remove my eye. I didn’t feel a thing! It feels a little strange only having one eye, but I am getting used to it and not worried about it at all. I am just glad not to be in pain anymore.

Khun Mui, who looks after me in the cat hospital has told me that Soi Dog is only able to help cats like me because of members of a club called Phi’s Cat Care Club. I have heard that the people who belong to this club are essential in providing treatment, accommodation and food to cats in need.
