Eve is back home in the wild!

After 2 weeks of rehabilitation, Eve- the macaque rescued by ACRES on Christmas Eve- has been released back to her home at MacRitchie Reservoir Park! With professional veterinary care provided by Dr. Lee and the Veterinary Nurses at ARVRC, her wounds healed up and she regained her strength.

Upon release, Eve gracefully stepped out from the carrier and carefully made her way up a tree. The Macaque Rescue Team watched her for a while to make sure she was doing fine, and she was last seen high up a tree, which is exactly where she should be. The Macaque Rescue Team will do some follow-up checks on her over the next few days. We wish her all the best and hope to see her socialising well with a troop soon.
