RUDOLPH RESCUED CHRISTMAS EVE UPDATE

Soi Dog board member Clive was on his way to get some last minute Christmas shopping when he spotted a dog laid under a road sign at Ban Don. He went to check on the dog and found him unable to walk properly and with a very tight collar and a chain hanging from it.

He immediately called Gill who interrupted her own Christmas cookery preparations to go and meet Khun Thep and find the dog. The dog was very skeletal and hardly able to stand. We do not know where he came from but had clearly been chained up and managed to break the chain and escape.

For all those people who have been asking for an update on Rudolph we are pleased to say that SHE is doing OK. We may have to change the name however as Gill though SHE was a boy. She is starting to eat and now able to stand and walk OK. Her neck as can be seen in one of the photos is sore but the collar had not gone into the flesh. She has a bit of mange but that should rapidly clear with treatment. She is a bit nervous of strangers but a very friendly dog who seems very happy to be here.
