Tourist Gives Beckett A Second Chance.......

Only because of the generous donations of supporters can cats like Beckett be saved. To donate to help Beckett and many other cats in need, please visit: https://www.soidog.org/en/sponsor-a-cat/

Beckett was found in an alley in the tourist area of Patong in Phuket by a tourist named Shirley. Shirley reported to us that he was crying pitifully for his mother and it was obvious he was in great distress. So concerned was the lovely Shirley that she kept watch on Beckett for 5 hours to see if his mother returned, but sadly she did not come back for him. Shirley was so worried about his wellbeing and health that she smuggled him into her hotel room for the night and gave him a comfortable bed to sleep on. Shirley contacted Soi Dog Foundation the next day and was so dedicated to Beckett that she hired a taxi to bring him to the shelter.

Beckett was examined by the vets and found to have an eye infection which is being treated and is now improving. As Beckett is so young and has only just started his vaccinations, he is currently being cared for by foster carer Khun Mia, who is also currently looking after puppies Sootee, Seattle and Tucson. Beckett is believed to be a Korat breed which is a traditional Thai cat which is not common and always blue in colour.

This story will have a happy ending though, with Shirley planning to adopt Beckett once he is old enough to travel…………………you truly have a heart of gold, Shirley!

Only you can help save cats like Beckett and give them a place to live and the ongoing care they need. To help please consider joining the cat sponsorship program at: https://www.soidog.org/en/sponsor-a-cat/
