Medical Subsidy For Cat With Obstructed Labour (Mutharam Vasthilingam�s)

Mrs Mutharam contacted us on 10th November saying this cat’s water-bag had broken but could not deliver. We advised her to immediately take the cat to the vet so that the necessary procedure could be done to save the cat and the kittens, to get a bill and we would reimburse her. Obstructed labour is very serious and requires immediately medical help.�The cat was brought to the vet but Mrs Mutharam did not get the procedure done. Instead, she brought the cat to another vet on the next day.�The cat is recovering now.

The two bills total RM347 and we have subsidised RM173.50 for them. This subsidy comes from the AnimalCare Donors (RM73.50) and Berjaya Cares (RM100).

Dear Dr. Chan

We had already advised Mrs Mutharam that if she requires more subsidy for all her cases, she could seek help from organisations that provide bigger subsidies. We are bound by our policies and have to be fair to all applicants.
