It means “The whole earth constitutes our family”.

The other day we shared this link on Indian street dogs and their rights:http://jaagruti.org/information-to-empower-you/indian-street-dogs-and-their-rights/

The parts which touched me most were:

1. As per Indian law, streets dogs cannot be beaten or driven away. They can only be sterilised (neutered), vaccinated and returned to their place of origin.

2. In India, there is no law that prohibits the feeding of street animals, and citizens who choose to do so are in fact performing a duty cast upon them by the Constitution of India. In fact, peoplewho are trying to interfere with their effort, or display aggression, can be held liable for having committed the offence described in the Indian Penal Code and criminal intimidation.

And this: Where these street dogs are born is where they belong.

Such profound wisdom, compassion and understanding that we share this earth with other living beings too, that they have a right to belong and that this right is to be respected.

Compassion arises from wisdom.

Wisdom arises from looking within to understand.

Everyone has a conscience, but are they in touch with it?

Today, we share this:http://home.valuefoundation.in/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=46&Itemid=55

It talks about values that arise from looking at life from a selfless perspective, as it should be.

It talks about the way to a peaceful Earth for all beings.

There is much we can learn, to be a better person and to create a more peaceful society…if only we want to.

But rather than wait and lament on when others are going to do their part, why not start with ourselves?

It doesn’t take high education to know what is right or wrong.

One just has to be in touch with one’s own conscience.
