“Hi, it’s Raymond here. I believe you were introduced to me a week ago. I came to the shelter with a very sore head and they tell me that I had a big wound that had maggots inside it. I don’t know what maggots are but they didn’t make me feel very good. My head is feeling better now thanks to the care of the vets and I have been moved to one of the runs here at the shelter. They call it the “Old Age Pensioner” run. I am only about 4 years old, but seeing as I cannot see very well, they decided I should live with the older, quieter dogs. I like living here. The food is good and I can sleep soundly knowing I am safe.”
