The total bill is RM750.We have subsidised 50%, which is RM375.00, for this dog’s treatment. This subsidy comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM175) and Berjaya Cares (RM200).
We have called Mr Chan Wai Loon, who confirmed that this is one of the dogs he feeds. These dogs stray in the vicinity of the workshop where Mr Chan works. Mr Chan says the dog, Yellow, is now eating well, and has even gained weight and is currently being cared for by him.
We have also contacted the vet today who verified the case and explained the need for the extended hospitalisation. The dog was on drips, was jaundiced and had to be closely monitored.

Hi Dr. Chan,
I’m writing to apply for medical subsidy for a dog currently staying in my friend’s car workshop.
My friend, WL feed some dogs which strays around his car workshop in USJ. Last nite he asked me for help because one of the female pup (named No Tail) aged ard 8 mths old has not been eating and vomitting for the past 2 days. She is very weak and couldn’t even walk. WL could’t take her to the vet as he only has a bike.
So this morning i took the dog to the clinic (my own dog’s vet). Dr examined her and found that she has tick fever. She also conducted parvo virus test and checked for worms. Fortunately the result is negative. However, Dr advised to board No Tail for 1 nite as she need to monitor her because No Tail is very weak and has to force feed her. If she still vomits after medication and food, Dr said she has to put her on drips.
Dr said she will update me on the dog’s condition later this evening.
Thank you and i hope you can consider my apllication.
Regards,
Adelyn Yap

Hi Dr Chan,
Today me n my friend WL went to see Dr. Liew and No Tail. Her condition is not improving. Had jaundice and red blood cell dropped 29%. She is now on drips. Dr has sent her blood sample to the lab and now awaiting result. Hopefully her organs are fine. Dr also said if her condition did not improves, she has to give her steroid next.
We’re very sad and all we can do is to pray and hope she gets well.

Hi Dr Chan,
Sorry for the lack of updates last week.
Good news ! I’ve just brought No Tail (Yellow) home to my friend’s car workshop today Dr said she can be discharged even tho she is not 100% well yet. Has to be on medication. Due to jaundice, one of her eyes turn abit whitish but doc said it will get better. Happy to see her walking n playing with her friends just now.
The bill comes up to RM750.00.
I am fully aware of the terms and condition and subsidy of only 50% for medical treatment, subject to animalcare’s discretion.
I will fill up the form and submit the original receipt to you.
Thank you.
Regards,
Adelyn

Hi Dr. Chan,As spoken last night, this e-mail is to justify the hospitalization need for Yellow (No-Tail)
For the first3 days, the Dr. advised the dog to be hospitalized as she is too weak and not eating at all. She couldn’t even walk. There are times when she ate but vomited after that. Due to her weak condition, she has to be administered regularly.
After that, Dr. conducted few blood tests andsuspected there is something wrong with her blood & kidney and has to be put on IV drips. Her condition did not improve. She was on drips up to the day we took her home. My and WL communicated with the Dr. daily to check on her condition. We would have brought her home if there is no need for the drips.
Thanks.
Regards,
Adelyn
