Spreading The Kindness From Royal Canin Malaysia, Part 2

Royal Canin Malaysia donated 500kg of catfood to us for distribution to our Food Fund recipients. Since Maslinda Abd Talib is our only cat caregiver Food Fund recipient in the Klang Valley, we first gave all the 54 bags to Maslinda (actually, after recounting, it’s 55 bags, there was one additional small bag).

We wanted to send some to Norshahadah Rusli through a friend who drove down to Johor yesterday, but her destination was too far away from Skudai, where Norshah lives. So that was not possible. We called Norshah to ask if she would have friends travelling from Skudai to the Klang Valley and back, but there was no such opportunity.

Since then, a few more cat feeders have applied for our Food Fund, and we are waiting for them to submit the form. For Food Fund applicants, we require some personal particulars of the applicants, including their monthly salary and there is a questionnaire to be filled up as well. As per policy, our funds are only for needy and responsible individuals who care for street animals.

Meanwhile, below are two more recipients of the catfood contributed by Royal Canin to our Fund. They are Maizatul Masni bt Mokhtar and Shaeiddah Akmar bt Abd Rahman. Both of these ladies are Maslinda’s friends and they feed about 10-20 stray cats in Shah Alam. They often rescue kittens and end up adopting them as well. They also take cats for neutering and help Maslinda rehome her rescued cats.

Maizatul and Shaeiddah have each received two bags of the Royal Canin catfood.

Shaeiddah Akmar

Maizatual and Shaeiddah both came over to help Maslinda transport the 55 bags from my house to Maslinda’s house that night.

This Saturday, we will be sending another 5 bags of this catfood to another recipient from Ipoh. She is a 77 year-old lady, Merriam Samuel, who looks after street cats and dogs. Will blog after it is done.

Thank you, Royal Canin Malaysia!
