The Patchwork Blankets The Story Continues
Tweet |
We wish to thank everyone who has written in to order the patchwork blankets. However, it has come to our attention now that many may not have read the second post about the blankets (or the many comments in the very first post) and are under the impression that the blankets are still priced at RM50 per piece.
As per suggested by practically every reader who commented, such handmade patchwork blankets are priced much, much higher than RM50 on the retail market. A reader suggested that we do an “auction” (an online bidding) since the purpose of the blankets is for fundraising.
We have thus stopped taking in orders as of now. The six people who had placed orders earlier will be given the honour (!) of placing the first bid when the next blanket is ready.
Furthermore, my mum has bought cotton cloth to make the blankets now and she said the price of cotton has risen quite sharply.
Hope this clarifies and we look forward to organising the online bidding! It’ll be fun. And if it doesn’t work out, we will then fix the price.
The blankets will still be on sale at our booths, though, depending on how many we have in stock. There will be no auction when it is on sale at our booth.
Thank you very much for your kind understanding and deepest apologies for any inconvenience or miscommunication caused.
We have actually mentioned the auction idea in both these posts:
