Saving A Little Kitty Life (a Sharing By Mok Wai Ling)

Two days ago, I received a call from a lady, Mok Wai Ling. She had discovered a little abandoned kitten whose mother had not returned. Wai Ling tried feeding the kitten but the kitten wouldn’t take any milk, so she was desperate and asked if anyone could take over the kitten. She had already called the local shelter but they advised that an infant kitten’s chances of survival in the shelter were very slim.

I suggested that Wai Ling brought the kitten to the vet and let the vet properly diagnose her first. Then, with a proper diagnosis, we can then blog for adopters. Or, Wai Ling could also learn how to take care of the kitten from the vet.

Wai Ling did that, and…

Dear Dr Chan

I feel thankful that the little kitten is saved now. As you can see the first picture shows she was so weak when we discovered her. We named her “Wanda”. The video shows she is much alert and stronger (3rd feeding).
I pray to God that she will grow up healthly and will send her for adoption later.
Cheers
Wai Ling

Hi Dr Chan

Thanks for your valuable tips and advices. Very useful. Will follow.
The vet did tell me about the way to feed and to message her private part.
Yes, you can have my story to share with others.
Cheers

WL

Wanda is in good hands now.

While it is true that experience helps, what’s more important is the willingness to learn and do one’s best.

We thank Wai Ling for doing the needful and taking good care of Wanda.

Wai Ling sent a video of Wanda sucking milk from the syringe. Wanda is a strong little kitty!
