WATCHIRA CALLS BOSTON HOME!.. Long term resident Watchira who’d spent 6 of her 9 years at our shelter flew to Boston last month to meet her doting new mum “Laurie”. Watchira (now called Bailey) is enjoying life to the full. Read Laurie’s account of Bailey’s new life below.

I can’t believe it’s already been a month since Bailey has come in to my life, I fell in love with her the minute I picked her up in Boston. Within 24 hours she realized how comfortable dog beds, couches, and human beds were. Within a week she figured out toys, and how to destroy them, but seeing the joy she gets is totally worth buying her new ones all the time. Bailey loves to cuddle, will actually sleep with her head on my pillow at night. One of her favorite things is going for car rides. She adores people and just recently found out she loves kids! Was VERY aggressive towards dogs at first , but has come such a long way in such a short time, now instead of showing teeth she will just do a little growl and has made 3 friends soon we will start doing off leash training. I had emergency surgery 2 weeks ago, Bailey was the best nurse I could ask for. We have already spend a weekend in Maine and just got home from a weekend at our 2nd home in Vermont, where her 3 new friends live, along with many chickens, horses and a donkey. Bailey is such an amazing girl, she tries so hard to please, I couldn’t be happier or possible love her any more. Everyday her personality comes out more and more. She is even starting to try and figure out how to play with her sister Oreo. I can’t imagine my life without Bailey, feels like she has been here all her life. I can’t believe how fast and well she has adjusted considering her world was turned upside down. Cindy I can’t thank you and everyone else involved with Soi Dog for all that you do, and Izumi Yamada, Marjon Tondravi, Muk Manita for helping get this sweet girl to me and of course one of my closest friends and some one I consider a 2nd mom, Polly Hill if it wasn’t for her I would have never known about Bailey.Bailey and I cant thank all of you enough for bringing us together!
