Soi Dog is happy to announce that in May we performed our 50,000th sterilization since the organization was established ten years ago. On 7 May a little black haired stray from Thepkasatri, called Haa Sip [Thai for 50] was sterilized at the Mai Khao clinic by Thai veterinarians Dr Su, SDF’s senior vet; and pupil Dr Chae.

Soi Dog firmly believes that sterilization is the only effective and humane way to address the root cause of the needless pain and suffering endured by street animals – overpopulation.

Because our current target is to spay and neuter 15,000 animals per year, we expect to reach the 100,000th sterilization in only a few years.
