Subject: Enquiries concerning subsidies for strays rescued

Dear Dr Chan,
My name is Catherine Ong Ooi Ping. I lived in Kota Kemuning,Shah Alam. I came to know about Animalcare and would like to make some enquiries concerning some stray dogs I have rescued.
Case 1
I have been feeding strays in Kota Kemuning since 2012. There were 3 dogs that I feed daily. Then I saw a new guy hanging around with the other 3. He had a collar on and he was extremely tame. I reckon he was a lost or abandoned dog. He was famished as can be seen when I fed him. I posted on FB to about the dog just in case he was lost. After feeding him a few days(he was always there) I realized he could have been abandoned by owner. So on 22nd Jan 2013, I took him to vet in KK for vaccination and de worming and tick bath. After that on the 24th January I had to transfer him to a a place to board him at RM15 per night. I have been trying to rehome him since then. I can’t take him in as I have 3 dogs (one also rescued) at home. I called him Timmy, He is good with humans but not so good with other dogs and so I am still trying very hard to rehome him. On the 12-3-2013 I had him neutered hoping to get him to be calmer for better chances of re homing. As Timmy’s boarding fees been ongoing I find it taxing on me. Thus I need to find out more about Animalcare and subsidies.
Case 2
As I mentioned I have been feeding dogs since last year July 2012. I have noticed a brown dog which I called him Brownie, since 7th july 2012. He sits at the McD roundabout in KK everyday be it rain or shine. I noticed he looked very nice and believed he was an abandoned dog waiting for his owner. I started feeding him on the 9th July 2012 and have been doing so daily till 5th March 2013. A few months after I started feeding him, he moved off to another location where he started hanging out with 2 other dogs which I called Blackie and Shorty. That was how I met Timmy (case 1) while feeding these boys. I tried rescued Brownie 5 times with sedation but had been unsuccessful. He was super scared n wary of me despite feeding him daily. I knew he was an abandoned boy and it was sad to see him deteriorating over the months. However, on 5th March 2013, when i went to feed them, I found him with a swollen foot. He was in pain and I took that opportunity to get him. I leashed him with leash and brought him to vet. He was treated and vaccinated and also boarding at same place as Timmy now. Brownie was also neutered along with Timmy on 12-3-13. Brownie has good chances of being rehomed.
The above are currently in my care. I would be grateful if you could advise me on what and how I can get some help from Animalcare. I also need help in terms of fostering and rehoming. Please advice. Thank you very much,Dr Chan! Hope to hear from you soon. I can attached their photos as well as receipts if required after I hear from you.
Yours sincerely,
Catherine
