We have not heard from Pak Din (Nordin Hashim) for quite sometime, but I have been in touch with Mr Chew Teng Ngin and Mr Chew informed us that Pak Din has ample dogfood and catfood supply for the animals under his care.
Recently, Pak Din brought a cat, White Foot, for treatment. We have fully sponsored RM125 for the treatment. This sponsorship comes from our Medical Fund (50%) and the balance is topped up by Kok Khee Wee.

Received a call last weekend from Pak Din to help take his cat to the vet due to a serious ear injury. Today I took him and his cat to the clinic in Gombak which is the nearest vet to his place. We were attended to by the vet who recognized Pak Din due to previous visits to the Cheras clinic by Pak Din.
As the wound was serious the vet recommended that he remove the outer ear as its badly damaged. White Foot was put under sedation and the operation was successfully conducted in about 1/2 an hour. A collar was put on and he should be fine in a few days time with antibiotics.
Pak Din and the other animals are generally fine but the thought that he may be evicted from his place still poses an issue. Good thing is he’s been invited to join a band of blues musicians and they’re practicing to take on an engagement in Kuantan once a month. Hopefully this works out so that Pak Din can earn some additional income doing something that he loves.
