EBONY, SAVED BY SOI DOG�S SUPPORTERS! …

Dear Ebony shows the importance of the members of Soi Dog�s Sponsors Club (http://www.soidog.org/en/sponsor-a-dog-or-cat/) in helping the neglected and abused dogs in Soi Dog�s care.

When Ebony first arrived at Soi Dog we saw arguably one of the worst cases of mindless abuse ever. A visitor had found Ebony wandering outside a shop with a severe cut and called Soi Dog.

Animal Rescue Officer Khun Thep immediately went to investigate and brought Ebony back to the Soi Dog Clinic. The poor thing looked like someone had tried to hang him at first glance. We could see his mouth & cheeks were seriously swollen, and a narrow wound running round the top of his skull. After sedation we saw the full extent of the injury, Ebony had a huge wound all the way round under the neck. To put this into context you could easily fit a whole hand into it!

Whilst Dr Toey was shaving & cleaning the wound, we spotted the offending article, a simple rubber band. The band had been there for at least 2 weeks slowly cutting deeper & deeper into his flesh, he must have been in agony. These photos show Ebony when he arrived at the shelter.

The before photos speak for themselves. The photos of Ebony after treatment and healing demonstrate the importance of Soi Dog�s sponsor club members. Without the Sponsor�s Club dogs like Ebony could not be saved!
