KAMALA'S STORY UNFOLDS....

KAMALA’S STORY UNFOLDS….After posting our video about Kamala, one of our older residents who’s looking for a new home, we were contacted by a lady in Germany (Nadia) who told us she’s the lady who found Kamala all those years ago, before he came to Soi Dog. Nadia has kindly recalled the story of how she found Kamala…. Nadia (a german expat) used to live in Phuket some years ago. Kamala turned up at her house one day & Nadia gave him food but was never able to touch him until one day he came up to her and nudged her with his nose. From this day she was able to touch him and he showed up at her house every day. Soon Kamala started to follow Nadia everywhere she went. One day something really bad happened: Kamala turned up with his friend Mommy & they went to a Thai neighbours house and killed all of his chickens. Mommy was later found dead & Kamala was nowhere to be found. Soon after, Nadia’s friend’s dogs were poisoned by the neighbour suspected of killing Mommy & he also threatened to kill Kamala.Nadia soon left for Germany but sadly unable to take Kamala with her, so she took him to Soi Dog where she knew he would be safe. This all happened 5 years ago & Nadia was crying happy tears when she saw Kamala’s video on our facebook page. Nadia told us she’d like nothing better than to see Kamala find a wonderful home where he can spend the rest of his life.Kamala is 11 years old. He’s a beautiful soul & the perfect “old black dog”. He’s sweet & affectionate.
