Hello Dr Chan,

Allow me to apologize for writing to you at this hour, it is an urgent case I suppose, at least for me. I am Joanne from Damansara.
Earlier in the evening, I found a car laying outside my house. I did not pay attention to it because there are always some cats outside my house. However, around 1130pm, I went out and the cat was still there at the same spot. I went to it and realized that the cat does not move. I was curious and I checked his body, there is blood stain around his private part and leg area. I took him in and give him some food and water. I tried giving him dry cat food, chicken meat and water. He does not want to eat at all.
Here I attached a photo of him that I took a while ago. He refused to let me open up his legs, hence I could not get a photo of his private part and areas with blood stain. He sounded in pain and just lay down there without moving. I also attached a video of him for your reference.
I am helpless as I never had cats before, I don’t know what to do. I will take him to the vet as soon as I have the time tomorrow. For now, I am wondering whether I can request for medical subsidy or sponsor because he most probably needs medical treatment. I am very worried and I hope that you can reply me as soon as possible.
Thank you.
Regards,
Joanne Teoh

HI Dr Chan,

I’ve just sent the cat to the vet. The doctor gave him two injections: Stablilizer and Antibiotic. The doctor checked and said that he has big bruises in his stomach. He most probably got hit by something. I have to bring him back to the vet tomorrow for X-Ray because he might have bone fracture around the spine because the spine does not look straight when he tried to stand.
He is sleeping now and I fed him some wet food. He ate very little.
Here are some photos:

Hi Dr Chan,

The bill is RM67.80. Will post to you as soon as I have time. The photos are all JPEG file, let me reattach in this email to you.
I’ve already given the cat a name which is Ah Boy.
He started eating a little bit and he also started walking slowly. The doctor said give him a day or two, if he is walking like normal then he does not need to do X-Ray. For now, I am giving him antibiotic pill and painkiller to eat. I am still struggling with force feeding Boy the pills because he does not want to open his mouth no matter how I tried to open it. This morning I mixed the antibiotic in the wet food and he ate it with the food. I will try to use the same way to feed him the painkiller later because the painkiller pill is slightly bigger.
I feel so relieve that Boy seems to be better now, thou he slept all afternoon today

Hi Dr Chan,

Yesterday night i mixed the painkiller inside the wet food and he ate it just like that! I am so happy and proud of him! He started walking and observing around my house. He also stands at door and looking outside the house. He seems like he isrecovering. I feel so happy!
I will observe for a few more days to decide whether he needs a X-Ray
Regards,
Joanne
