Current situation in MPSP where they kept all the strays caught is really bad. These animals are cramp-up in cages under the hot sun or rain with no food and drinking water. Some are tied with short chains, restricting their movements.

SPCA Seberang Perai has wrote in a letter to MPSP, offering their help. As of now, Mdm. Tan is taking over the animals caught by MPSP to her shelter.

(Note: Pet owners who think they have lost their pets to the hands of MPSP recently may contact SPCA Seberang Perai -012-5523447, to go check out at the shelter if your pets are there)

Though this is the best solution at the moment, however, SPCA Seberang Perai may not have the capability to hold ALL the strays caught by MPSP. We urgently need a solution.

At the same time, we urge the Public to write in to MPSP to stop them from mistreating the animals caught – ydp@mpsp.gov.my. Strays caught back need to be provided with food, water and proper shade!

MDDB Northern has donated RM500 to SPCA Seberang Perai and agrees to continue support SPCA Seberang Perai in this good cause, by helping to organize Adoption Drives and volunteering in whatever ways they can.

We urge the Public to donate generously to SPCA Seberang Perai, may it in monetary terms and food wise.

Here are the banking details for SPCA Seberang Perai:

Account Name: SPCA Seberang Perai
Bank: Public Bank
Account No: 3137021629

We would appreciate if you could email a copy of the transaction slip to spcaseberangperai@gmail.com once you have made a donation and after which SPCA Seberang Perai shall issue you a receipt to keep for tax exemption. Receipt for tax exemption is only for donation of RM50 and above.

Thank you.

SPCA Seberang Perai

The SPCA Seberang Perai is a society registered in September 2005. Our primary aim is to reduce the population of stray animals or possibly a zero stray population in a humane manner. With lesser strays or no strays at all, the loving value of animals will be greatly increased and you can be sure that humans will shower more love for their pets and be responsible pet owners. The problem should not only be shouldered by our Society as the public must also understand the urgent need to control the pet population and give their whole-hearted support to all our projects for the undertaking to be successful. Then we will achieve a clean and hygienic environment for the community. As a no killing organization, we are embarking on a two-prong approach towards the problem i.e public education and sterilization of the stray animals.
