Transport Offer For Puppy With Inverted Rear Paws (Kelly Tans)
From my last post:http://myanimalcare.org/2012/10/12/further-updates-on-the-puppy-with-the-inverted-rear-paws-kelly-tans/until now, I have been communicating with several people (including vets) who may be able to help in this case.
So far, every vet I have spoken to says it is possible to explore non-surgical methods but this is only based on the photos of the puppy. A physical examination is still necessary. It is also better not to delay the evaluation and treatment as with every day that passes, the deformity may harden and become more difficult to be rectified.
One of our readers wanted to offer to bring the puppy down here for an evaluation and help foster until recovery. Unfortunately, a fulltime caregiver is required as the puppy needs constant monitoring after treatment has been done. So this was not possible but we thank this reader very much for her very kind offer.
Now, this reader has offered to sponsor Kelly and the puppy’s taxi fare for a round trip to the Klang Valley for an evaluation. I have conveyed this offer to Kelly, so we now wait for her decision. We wish to thank this reader for her generosity and thoughtfulness.
We also already have a few vets over here who are willing to see this puppy.
This is as much as we can do now.
If anyone here is willing to help foster the puppy, please leave a comment on this post or write to me at chankahyein@gmail.com. Please note that a fulltime fosterer would be preferred after treatment has been done.
Thank you.
