The Le Viva Event, Day One

Today was Day One of the Le Viva event at Viva Home Mall, Cheras. Our volunteers for today were Mary, Chun Eng, Bernice and Donovan.

Viva Home Mall’s Expo Hall is large and VERY spacious. I was so thankful for the space!

We were bright and early and our booth was set up before opening time.

But who was also as bright and early and graced all the booths with his visit?

THE Man of the People – Datuk Michael Chong. He is someone I truly respect very, very much as he has done so much to help the needy. The gentleman in purple is Jeremy Chong, the organiser of this event. We wish to thank Jeremy for inviting us.

Datuk Michael Chong took some of our books too! He was very warm and friendly and had good things to say to everyone.

And who else graced our booth?

Another personality…or rather, two of them. Very beautiful ones too.

It’s supermodel Amber Chia and her supermodel friend (and her supermodel cat)!

Ms Chia even bought one of our tshirts for her little son.

And who else graced our booths throughout the day?

This little rabbit from PAWS whom I almost brought home because he’d been at the shelter for one year and nobody wanted to adopt him. Luckily, by evening, someone came and took him home.

This lovely couple came in our tshirts.

There were others too. It’s always so heartwarming to see people wearing our tshirts.

Many furry friends came by to visit.

This doggy-friend was moving non-stop and Donovan challenged me to take his photo.
Well, he actually stayed and posed for me. Good doggy.

Some guinea pigs visited us as well.

Edward, manager of PAWS, said this is called a “bad hair day” guinea pig! Chun Eng preferred it to be called a Farrah Fawcett guinea pig.

A very furry Chow Chow, so furry, he is like a toy teddybear.

More visitors.

Although the crowd wasn’t very big, we managed to speak with many visitors and shared our CNRM concept with them. Many had never heard of it before, so we were glad to be able to do that bit of awareness and education.

Tomorrow will be Day Two.
