Our Charlie Angels

Introducing our three ladies who have put in so much of time and energy to the shelter works. Everyday from Monday to Saturday they work from 11am to 5pm, cooking food, cleaning the shelter, feeding the dogs.

Thanks to the hard work put in by these three ladies, our 200 dogs are well-fed and well taken care of. The picture below shows their working attire (pretty aprons sewn by themselves) and their Phua Chu Kang yellow boots.

The one on the right is Aunty Kiew who goes to market early everyday to buy chicken necks, chicken liver and vegetable. She enjoys cooking for the dogs, and she believes firmly in feeding them fresh food everyday. She treats every dog in the shelter like her own babies and she will not sleep well if anything happens to the dogs.

The lady in the centre is Meng Yuet who besides cleaning and feeding the dogs, also takes care of  the medication of all sick dogs. She has a good memory on the dogs’ names and she understands the behaviors of each and every dog. She is very generous to buy treats for the dogs and she distributes to them for snacks before she leaves for home.

Lastly is Pauline who comes 3-4 times a week to help the cleaning and feeding works. She often fosters our sick dogs/pups, she make sure dogs under her care eat the best nutritious food. She is a fast worker, that is why  Ah Wah likes her so much because Pauline can help him do so much work within a short time.

We have to salute them for the many hours they spend in the shelter, the tiring and laborious works have really shed many kilos off them . They look much slimmer than when they first came but they have no complaints. They enjoy and love every moments with the dogs. Second Chance is truly blessed to have these three wonderful ladies!
