From A Thai Island To The Republic Of Ireland, Thi..

From a Thai island to the Republic of Ireland, this is Lulu’s story! 🌴🍀

Our officers rescued Lulu (shelter name Lulune) from a rubbish tip in Phuket in 2022. Amongst the dirt and the rubbish, she’d fallen terribly ill and needed intensive supportive treatment at our shelter.

After close to two years with us, our wonderful partner rescue Leitrim Animal Welfare Centre decided to give Lulu a chance at a new life in Ireland 🇮🇪 And with their help, she found her family, coming into their life at just the right time…

“We lost our 16 year old dog in April and we were absolutely devastated. We needed some time to grieve so after 6 months we felt we were ready again and we desperately missed having that extra heartbeat in our home.

I did enquire about getting a dog from Thailand from another shelter but I never got a reply. However, we just so happened to find Lulu already here in Ireland. She came here with other dogs from Soi Dog in May.

Lulu was the last of the dogs to be adopted so we quickly went to see her the following day and instantly fell in love.

Considering Lulu was a street dog/in a shelter for all her life, she settled in with us so quickly. She sleeps a lot but absolutely loves her walks and she loves people and other dogs. She loves nothing more than when we are all together in the evenings and cuddled up and she is showing more and more of her personality every day.

We really adore Lulu and she is massively helping us on our healing journey and we just hope she loves us as much as we love her. Welcome to our little family Lulu.”
