Let’s celebrate 🌏 Day 2024 with the theme “Planet Vs. Plastics”.

Did you know? According to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), in 2022, only 9% of the world’s used plastics got recycled. 🤯

This leaves a significant 15% residues after recycling, and a staggering 50% ends up in landfills. Incineration, accounting for 19% of plastic waste, also contributes to environmental harm as plastics are non-biodegradable.

While efforts to clean up existing waste are vital, adopting #sustainablepractices in plastic use and consumption is crucial for long-term solutions.
