Instead, he was left alone and scared with a painful open wound on his back.

You might remember when we first shared about Risen a few months ago. He had just arrived at our hospital and was receiving much-needed medical care and love. While his physical wounds have fully healed, it will take time for this sweet, nervous boy to recover from his emotional trauma.

We are happy to share that he is slowly becoming more confident as the days pass, and is embracing the gentle comfort of his carer. He has a long journey ahead of him, but thanks to the love and support of generous animal lovers like you, he has all the support he needs to heal his scars.
