MDDB also has several dogs under our palliative care initiative. Sophie is one of them. She has severe epilepsy and recently had her worst episode. We took Sophie from a cat rescuer some time ago. The cat rescuer could not cope due to Sophie’s epileptic seizures. She is currently on two medications – Pheno and Keppra taken twice daily. Previously she was put on both the drugs but vet stopped Keppra but has included it again after this episode. She will be going back for a follow-up in two weeks. Please look at the comment section to see what happened. We had to put on the e-collar as she bit her paw during. Sophie is one of two epileptic patients under our care. The other one is Mimi. Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better

Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
