#DYK that securing the future of our Malayan tigers means safeguarding our own future as well? Tigers are crucial for the health of their habitats. As top predators, tigers keep populations of prey species in check which, in turn, maintains the balance between herbivores and the vegetation upon which they feed.

In saving tigers, we also save the biologically rich and diverse forests in which they still roam. These forests are home to thousands of other species. A healthy tiger habitat ensures that nature is in harmony and can continue to provide food sources and clean water for us and for future generations.

Since 2016, Maybank has partnered with WWF-Malaysia to help conserve Malayan tigers in the Belum-Temengor Forest Complex. Conservation efforts include protection and monitoring of tigers as well as engagement with local indigenous communities. We’re overjoyed to honour the remarkable achievement of the Royal Belum State Park’s CA|TS accreditation.
