We are hosting a first Turtle & Fireflies Discovery Trip post-pandemic on Saturday, 8th July 2023 🎉

Many people have not seen turtles, hence they do not know much about them. They only knew about sea turtles (but there are so many other non-sea turtles!). They believed that turtles could come out of their shells, like how it is depicted in cartoons.

They didn’t know how global warming affects our turtles, and they certainly do not know how they can play a part to help save our turtles.

We initiated this highly educational trip in 2011 to share our knowledge of turtles with the public. We’ve put together an itinerary to ensure this trip is hassle-free for families with small children. We will make dinner arrangements so you don’t have to worry about it. And most importantly, we will show you and your family insights into turtles and turtle conservation in the country.

Since 2011, we have served many families, local and international school groups, homeschooling communities and even corporate companies.

Turtle Conservation Society

The Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia was established in October 2011. The aim of the society is to bring about the recovery of depleted wild populations of turtles, with particular reference to freshwater turtles, in Malaysia through partnerships with like-minded organizations, individuals and local communities as well as through its own programs.
