Recovery Room for Post-Surgical Dogs & Nursing Puppies

For many years, Harmony Fund has been investing in improving the conditions at dog pounds internationally and shutting down those who practice extreme cruelty. One of our long-term goals is to expose corruption in municipal dog pounds throughout the Balkans and create new forms of oversight, welfare standards and community involvement. Today, we share a glimpse of one of the smaller aspects of that work in the form of a simple building project in Piatra Neamt, Romania. Team leader Claudia Filip turned to us for help in setting up a quarantine room for dogs recovering from spay/neuter and also for mother dogs to nurse their pups safely without risk of attack by other dogs.

In recent years, we’ve been proud to help Claudia provide better food and care for the dogs at the pound and to support her very active spay/neuter programs to prevent future generations of homeless animals. She is very thankful to all of you for your financial support to make this mission possible.
