These were the two out of three dogs that were caught at Shah Alam and sent for neutering the week before. One female dog is still at boarding for TVT treatment. TVT is a sexual transmitted cancerous tumour among stray dogs. It can be treated with Vincristine jabs weekly , the amount of jabs depending on the severity of the tumour. If it goes untreated, it will cause a painful death, male and female alike. This is one of the main reasons why male dogs need to be castrated as well. Often we hear feeders say let’s spay the females because they are the ones that produce new born. Even so, with the males castrated, there won’t be urge to mate with females nearby which will cause fights among the males and the commotion is also one of the main reasons people making reports to the local councils.
