Today Wwf-Malaysia Had The Opportunity To Be Part ..

Today WWF-Malaysia had the opportunity to be part of Rumah Peter’s pepper store opening, a facility provided under our sustainable pepper project in Sarawak. The project aims at conserving remaining secondary forests in Ulu Katibas landscape and sustaining indigenous community livelihoods through good agricultural practices.

The project is carried in DC collaboration with the Malaysian Pepper Board (MPB). MPB Deputy Director-General of Development Vincent Sawat, Sarawak Administrative Officer for Song District Harry Don Bosco Biscop, Rumah Peter Headman Peter Jabat and WWF-Malaysia Associate Director for Conservation and Science officiated at the pepper store opening. The pepper store is supported by the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia. During the event, MPB also presented pesticide-free certificates to Rumah Peter and Rumah Dagum’s pepper farmers to acknowledge their efforts in good agricultural practices.
