Thai celebrity donates 1 million baht to Soi Dog! 🤩

Please join us in saying a huge thank you to Bright Vachirawit and his dedicated fanbase who have just donated an incredible 1 million baht ($30,000 USD) to help homeless dogs and cats.

An actor, singer, model and entrepreneur with a big heart, Bright is one of Thailand’s most well-known celebrities. Each year, he uses his birthday and his platform of millions of fans to raise funds and awareness for Thai charities under the “Make A Bright Wish” project ✨

In 2021, the project raised over 4 million baht for 10 charities, with 2.5 million ($75,000 USD) apportioned to Soi Dog. A further 2 million baht was raised in 2022, with half donated to us.

It isn’t only stray animals who are benefiting from Bright’s philanthropy. Marine conservation, environmental sustainability and child protection causes, among many others, have also felt the warmth of his generosity.

The future is brighter thanks to Bright and his fans, and we really are so grateful for their support which has been recognised with plaques in both our cattery and off-lead area.

Soi Dog Foundation

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals. Soi Dog also has a treatment facility in Bangkok and responds to crisis situations throughout Thailand. The organisation is dedicated to implementing effective, sustainable solutions that reduce the suffering of dogs and cats in Asia, runs entirely on donations and works efficiently so all donations are used to help animals as effectively as possible.
