There are seven puppies in the storerage area of a Malay company. The staff have confined them there to prevent them from wandering into the busy road that fronts the premises. Some of the staff members are feeding them and the Boss has said that he will contribute RM50 towards the vaccination of the puppies. The staff members are also willing to deliver each puppy to its respective adopter regardless where they live. Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better is a canine welfare programme initiated by non-profit organisation Community Development and Integration Initiative (CDII).

MDDB's main activities revolve around rescuing dogs from the local council pounds as well as off the streets. Once they have been rescued, the dogs are vaccinated and neutered before being put up for adoption.
