From Government Pound To Homeward Bound, This Is H..

From government pound to homeward bound, this is Honna’s story.

Five-month-old Honna was rescued from the local government dog pound in August 2019. Our rescue officers noticed his sickly complexion and a badly infected wound on his hind leg and brought him to Soi Dog for the treatment he needed.

After over a year and a half at the shelter, Honna was chosen to join our amazing partner rescue The Barking Lot in San Diego, USA. Shortly after his arrival, he caught the eye of a loving family who took him home to start his #furrytailending life. Here’s an update from them:

“We’ve had Indy (formally known as Honna) since 2021. We love him so much! He is such a sweet, goofy guy! When my husband and I adopted Indy, we actually weren’t certain if his tail – that tight little corkscrew – wagged that much! He seemed nervous and uncertain about his new world. Now, his tail wags so much it looks like a helicopter about to take off!

We’ve worked really hard with Indy on his leash walking and he’s improved a lot! Indy has a tough, independent exterior but is a really gentle soul. He loves sniffs on walks and getting pets from everyone. We call him our pet detective because he’s always looking for pets!

Thanks for all the great work your organization does! Hard to believe he came from the other side of the world and yet feels like he was always meant to be right here with us! 😊”
