WHOA, OH, OH
SWEET (MANIS JAVANICA) CHILD O’ MINE
Found stranded and alone in a storm drain, this Sunda pangolin (Manis Javanica) was rescued and brought back to our wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre. Upon further inspection she was found to be blind in one eye but fortunately had no other injuries!
Sunda pangolins are nocturnal and critically critically endangered mammals, native to Singapore. Poached widely in other range countries for their scales in use for traditional medicine, the pangolins in Singapore may face threats of becoming a roadkill, due to habitat fragmentation.
Our wildlife rescue hotline receives an average of 1,800 calls monthly! We expend over $60,000 monthly to care for the various needs (dietary, medication, spatial, caregivers) of the animals (both native & non-native) in our care.
Join as at our charity gala fundraising dinner happening Saturday, 8 October, 6pm onwards at One Farrer Hotel.
100% proceeds will be directed to our animal protection programmes.
Hosted by actor & model Paul Foster , with free flow of soft drinks, wine, beer, a scrumptious cruelty-free 8-course vegan feast, live music by Rai from Jack&Rai and auctions, it will be a night to remember!
