A #furrytailending story from Soi Dog alumni Arizona.🏠

Prior to his arrival at the Soi Dog shelter in 2018, Arizona was a homeless dog. Under a parked truck was where he stayed during hot days or cold nights, and every day he risked his life crossing busy roads to find food.

One day, he didn’t make it across safely. He was hit by a speeding car and left in great pain with a broken leg. Almost a month passed until a kind-hearted person noticed he was injured and contacted us for help. By that point, his leg had been injured beyond repair and had to be amputated.

Arizona adjusted well to three-legged life and soon got around without any pain or problems. The definition of a good boy, he had a special place in the hearts of many volunteers and staff. When people visited his enclosure, he waited patiently for his turn to receive some affection. His favourite thing was for people to sit with him and rub his belly😊

After almost three years at the shelter, Arizona was chosen by BnR’s Rock n’ Rescue, one of our partner rescues in the USA, where he found his forever home. His parents sent us some lovely photos of Arizona in his new world with the following message:

“What a great year with our Arizona! Thank you so much for bringing him and all this joy and love to our lives. When Arizona came to us last year there wasn’t much snow left. We have been having so much fun discovering winter and snow with him. He seems to have been born for it. What a thrill to be the ones to help him discover it! Thank you so very much!❤”
