The First RM300 For Blackey (Sha�s)

We have just transferred the first RM300 (from Sau Yee and Alida Mahyuddin) to Sha (Wan Rozima) to start Blackey off on her sporo treatment in Kedah. We are confident the vet in Kedah will do all he can to help Blackey heal.

Sporotrichosis is a treatable disease and does not have to be a death sentence unless it is in a very, very bad or late stage where the body cannot heal anymore and medication cannot help. Even then, we can still try.

We are happy Sha has decided to get Blackey treated in Kedah so that she may visit often and provide the emotional support that is crucial and plays a very important part in supporting Blackey’s recovery.

A note to all caregivers of sick animals: My vet has often reminded me that while veterinarians can provide even the very best clinical care to any sick animal, they can never provide what the owner/caregiver can give – tender loving care, faith, hope and being there for the pet physically, emotionally and spiritually.

We wish Blackey a speedy recovery and hope Sha will update us from time to time with photos and (good!) news.

We have pledged our subsidy for Blackey’s treatment.
