Soi Dog Foundation’s CNVR programme is island hopping! 🏝#spayandneuterawarenessmonth
Thailand is home to over 900 islands, Phuket being the largest of them, so it’s no surprise that every now and then, we make our way to some of the smaller islands who need help managing their stray dog and cat population.
In 2021, the teams visited several of these islands including Coconut island, south of Phuket as well as Khai Nai, a famous tourist island belonging to the neighbouring Phangnga province, that is also home to many free-roaming cats.
Other notable visits last year was to the scenic island of Koh Samui where over 3500 animals were sterilised as well as the remote island of Koh Kood close to the Cambodian border and about 200 animals were neutered.
More about these island visits can be found on our April and December 2021 newsletter, Soi Dog Post.
