Soi Dog Foundation’s CNVR programme moves to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. 🇰🇭
We are so excited to share the news of our partnership with Animal Rescue Cambodia (ARC) to sterilise free-roaming dogs in the capital Phnom Penh, helping to reduce the population of stray dogs in the city.
Since November, they have sterilised 353 dogs.👏 This has already prevented the birth of dozens and dozens of unwanted puppies from being born into a world of misery, within a few months.
Thank you to everyone, people like just like you, for making this partnership possible.🙏
Within Thailand, we have sterilised over 666,000 dogs and cats to date and we are extremely happy knowing that, what we are are now able to extend our support outwards, to help the stray dog population in Cambodia.
Until now, our efforts in Cambodia have been to advocate against the dog meat trade in the country and this is another step towards reducing the suffering of stray and unwanted animals.
With every sterilised animal, the ARC team is able to send out a strong message to the community about ways we can help the over-population crisis of stray dogs and how they can be a valuable part of the community, specially with containing the spread of Rabies. which will protect people as well as dogs, in turn sending out a message that dogs are friends not food.
